We believe that true transformation begins with a focus on safety, reducing injury risks, and understanding the science behind sustainable health practices.

Founded by Bo, who once faced his own challenges with weight, illness, and the overwhelming sea of conflicting fitness advice, BOTA was born out of a passion to cut through the noise and provide clear, evidence-based guidance. Our approach is rooted in the latest science, emphasizing predominantly plant-based nutrition and balanced, injury-conscious fitness practices.

Having personally faced and overcome weight and health challenges during his childhood and early adulthood, Bo intimately understands the difficulties and obstacles encountered when striving to lose weight, improve fitness, and attain overall well-being. This firsthand experience fuels his genuine passion to help others conquer similar struggles. Recognizing that nutrition played a substantial role in his own health and weight loss journey, Bo places great emphasis on nutrition education within all BOTA Health & Fitness classes.

Bo's purpose is to serve individuals on their journey to improved health, fitness, and overall well-being. If you seek a coach who combines expertise with genuine care, Bo is the right choice! His commitment to building trust, rapport, and providing unwavering support sets him apart.

Bo is not only an accredited Personal Trainer through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA), but was the recipient of both the SUNY Chancellor and Outstanding Student Adult Awards. He has also competed professionally as Men’s physique contestant—placing third in his first ever fitness competition. If fat loss, knowledge of healthy eating, and learning how to exercise safely and effectively are your personal goals, BO KNOWS!
